The Yaqui Museum is a space for the preservation and dissemination of the history and culture of one of the original peoples of Sonora.The museum was established in 1985 and since 2008 it has been installed in an old house from the Porfirian era in Cócorit, one of the eight towns gathered by the Jesuit missionaries since 1617, the year of evangelization and colonization in the valley.
